A nonprofit organization that works to preserve Florida’s history and heritage cautions that Rollins College’s recent demolition of several old buildings as part of the school’s ongoing renovations could do away with noteworthy historical structures on its Winter Park campus. “They are facing a challenge of how to balance preservation and growth,” said Melissa Wyllie, executive director of the Florida Trust for Historic Preservation.
